Mr. S. Sampath Kumar

Mr. S. Sampath Kumar is Group Head - Retail Branch Banking, Retail Trade and Forex and Alternate Banking Channel & Partnerships covering West and South region at HDFC Bank.

In his previous role at the Bank, Mr. Kumar was responsible for developing the Retail Liability portfolio – offering products and solutions for offshore and overseas branches, strengthening Private Banking Group Product and Research, ATM, Demat, Virtual Relationship Manager and Business Banking Group products.

Prior to joining the Bank in August 2000, Mr. Kumar worked with Integrated Finance Company Ltd.

A professional with over three decades of experience, Mr. Kumar has several career milestones to his credit including the biggest deal of the Indian Private Banking space in 2008; leading the Bank towards pole position in the FCNR (B) collection in 2014 and charting a successful growth trajectory for the Bank, among several others.

Mr. Kumar is an alumnus of the University of Madras, Tamil Nadu. In his personal time, he enjoys a good round of golf. He is also passionate about creating platforms for the differently abled to showcase their talent.
