Introduction

If your HDFC Bank Debit Card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can block or hotlist it using any of the multiple methods available.

  • MyCards
  • Step 1: Visit the MyCards link at⦁ https://mycards.hdfcbank.com/.
  • Step 2: Enter your registered mobile number and the OTP received.
  • Step 3: On the Debit Card homepage, click on the ‘Block Card’ option.
  • Step 4: Choose the reason for hotlisting and proceed.
  • Step 5: You will get confirmation that your card has been successfully hotlisted.
  • *Ensure your card is registered by entering your Debit Card number's last 4 digits and your Date of Birth (DOB).

  • Step 1: Go to the HDFC website at⦁ ⦁ www.hdfcbank.com.
  • Step 2: Click on the EVA chatbot located on the right-hand side.
  • Step 3: Choose Debit Card services and then select ‘Hotlist your Debit Card’.
  • Step 4: Input your registered mobile number and the OTP sent on it.
  • Step 5: Share your birth date in DD/MM/YYYY format and  proceed.
  • Step 6: Provide the last 4 digits of your Debit Card and continue.
  • Step 7: Choose the reason for hotlisting and confirm the card blocking request.

  • Step 1: Save our WhatsApp number, 70700 22222 and send a “Hi” to get started.
  • Step 2: Complete the one-time registration process by entering the last 4 digits of your customer ID and the OTP sent on your RMN.
  • Step 3: Type your query regarding Debit Card services or choose from the options (Under Other Services, select Debit Card services).
  • Step 4: Select ‘Block My Debit Card’ under Debit Card Services and provide the reason for blocking.
  • Step 5: Verify the last 4 digits of your Debit Card displayed for hotlisting before clicking proceed to block.
  • Step 6: You will receive confirmation that your card has been deactivated.

  • Step 1: Open the HDFC Bank app and log in to Mobile Banking.
  • Step 2: Authenticate using your PIN or fingerprint (if enabled).
  • Step 3: Tap the menu icon located in the left-hand corner.
  • Step 4: Select ‘Pay’ and then ‘Cards’ to view the Debit Card(s) linked to your account.
  • Step 5: Choose the Debit Card number you want to hotlist.
  • Step 6: Select the reason for hotlisting and proceed to block the card.
  • Step 7: You will receive confirmation that your Debit Card has been successfully hotlisted.

  • Step 1: Login to your HDFC Bank ⦁ NetBanking Account.
  • Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Card’ Section and choose ‘Debit Card’ on the left side. 
  • Step 3: Click on ‘Requests’ and then select ‘Debit Card Hotlisting’.
  • Step 4: Choose the Debit Card to hotlist, provide a reason, add any remarks, and confirm.
  • Step 5: You will receive a confirmation alert indicating the card has been successfully hotlisted.

  • Step 1: Send an SMS with the message “Block DC <Last 4 digits of your Debit Card number>” to 7308080808 from your registered HDFC Bank mobile number.
