When you report a fraud UPI transaction, provide details such as the transaction date, amount, UPI ID, and any relevant transaction references, along with a brief description of the issue.

For UPI fraud prevention:

  •  Use a strong, unique PIN

  • Enable two-factor authentication

  • Monitor account activity regularly

  • Avoid sharing sensitive information or clicking suspicious links.

In case of a compromised UPI account, quickly update your UPI PIN and contact your bank. You may also need to disable UPI transactions if necessary.

Common signs of fraudulent UPI transactions include unexpected deductions, unfamiliar transaction details, unauthorised payments, and notifications of transactions you did not initiate or authorise.
