Mr. Gourab Roy

Mr. Gourab Roy is the Group Head –Operations, ATM and Administration at HDFC Bank. In his current role, he manages liability and assets operations, various payments systems including cheque clearing system, CMS, currency chest,  ATMs, gold loan, trade  and treasury operation of the Bank. Mr. Roy is also responsible for the penetration of business through dedicated team of CMS Product and Sales.
 

Some of Mr. Roy’s notable achievements:

• Setting up of Exchange Clearing House in the Bank

• Operational First Private Bank Chest in 2004

• Operational Govt Tax Collection Business

• Taken operations to deeper geography by enabling local level processing of bouquet of products

• Setting up of Asset & Liability CPU to extend to enhance faster delivery to customers

• One Nation One Grid - ECCS I/W & ECCS O/W

• Digital Platform for Top up of Gold Loans

• Instant WCDL in line with 10 sec Personal Loans

• RBI Bonds Through Net banking

• Digital Stock Statement Updation

Mr. Roy is having over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in ABN Amro Bank in 1992 and thereafter joined AXIS (erstwhile UTI) in 1995. He joined HDFC Bank in March 1996 as an Officer – Transactional Banking Operation and over the years he managed roles of increasing responsibilities. He was appointed as Group Head for Transaction Banking operations in June 2024.

Mr. Roy holds a Master degree in Commerce.
