Mr. Rakesh Kumar Rajput

Mr. Rakesh Kumar Rajput is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at HDFC Bank Ltd since October 2023. In this role, he is responsible for the designing and maintaining compliance framework, ensuring the effectiveness and integrity of the compliance process with appropriate and detailed monitoring of the adherence to the compliance policy, its minimum standards and applicable legal and regulatory standards in the Bank.

As Chief Compliance Officer, Mr. Rajput is responsible to ensure that the Compliance framework encompasses compliance risk management processes and tools that shall be used by HDFC Bank’s Businesses, Management and Compliance functionaries, for managing its compliance risks emanating from their respective business / product / operations and to give adequate assurance on Compliance Risk management to the Audit Committee / the Board and the MD & CEO of the Bank.

Mr. Rajput joined the Bank in May 2022 and worked in Compliance Function as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer before becoming the Chief Compliance Officer of the Bank. He has 29 years of experience, of which 26 years is with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Banking Regulator in India. During his stint with the RBI, he had worked in Department of Banking Supervision, Financial Inclusion and Development Department, Department of Information Technology and Administration & Personnel Department. In his last assignment with the RBI, he was holding position of General Manager, Department of Banking Supervision in Mumbai.

Mr. Rajput is a B.Sc. (Honrs), Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers and holds Advance Diploma in Business Management.
