Mr. Arup Rakshit

Mr. Arup Rakshit is the Group Head Treasury. He leads the Treasury for the Bank and is responsible for all the functions that is ALM for the Bank, Customer business for FX and Interest Rates, Bullion Business, Bond Sales and Distribution, FX & Interest Rate Trading. Additionally, he is also responsible for the GIFT City Branch.

He joined the Bank in 2006 and has held leadership roles at Treasury Sales earlier before taking over as the Head Treasury.

He has a rich work experience of more than 29 years. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked with Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO, where he was in charge of the Treasury Sales.

He holds a BTech Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from IIM Calcutta. He is an active member of the Management Committee - FEDAI (Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India) and India Forex Committee (Indian Chapter of Global Forex Committee).

In his free time, Mr. Rakshit likes to read ancient Indian literature and enjoys watching sports
