Methods to Change Mobile Number

Via Website

  • Go to www.hdfc.bank.in and in the menu, select Need Help > Accounts/Deposit Services > Update mobile number.
  • Select Update Mobile Number.
  • Customers can update their aadhaar registered mobile number only. Verify yourself using the current mobile number in records + DOB/ PAN/ Cust ID. We do not send OTP to the existing mobile number if you have confirmed that your current mobile number in records is not available with you anymore
  • Confirm the OTP received on your registered email/ mobile
  • Conduct Aadhaar EKYC via OTP
  • Enter the new mobile number (ensure it is the same as your aadhaar registered mobile number)
  • Verify the new number via OTP sent on it
  • Complete the journey by authentication using Debit card/ Net banking details.

  • Log in to your HDFC Bank NetBanking account.
  • Go to My Profile from the top-right corner menu.
  • Click Edit next to the mobile number option.
  • You will be redirected to the Update Mobile Number page.
  • Enter the required details and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Documents Required to Update Your Registered Mobile Number

Identity Proof

  • Any one of the following:
  • Aadhaar Biomteric Verification (Recommended). Bank recommends Aadhaar registered mobile number to be updated in bank records for fraud and risk control
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving Licence
  • NREGA Job card or Letter issued by the National Population Register containing details of name and address

Customer Request Form

  • Fill and sign the Customer Request Form from the branch to update the mobile number.

Self-Attested Document Copy

  • Submit a self-attested photocopy of the identity proof along with the request form.

Prerequisites for Changing Mobile Number

Resident Individual / AUS / BO:

  • If you are a Resident Individual, Authorised Signatory or Beneficial Owner of any Entity, you can update your Aadhaar linked Mobile Number Digitally using Aadhaar EKYC through Net banking, ATM or Insta Services (Servies tab on the website).
  • You can also submit a physical form at the branch to update your mobile number.

Non-Resident Indian:

  • If you are a Non-Resident Indian, you can submit the Contact Details Updation Form with self-attested photocopy of your ID proof via your registered email ID or by visiting the branch for submitting the form.

  • If you are a Sole Proprietorship firm, you can update your Email ID digitally through Insta Services (Servies tab on the website).
  • You can also submit a physical form with your ID proof (OVD) at the branch to update your Email ID.

  • If you are a Partnership firm, Pvt/ Public Ltd Company, LLP, HUF, TASC, you can visit the branch with the ID proof (OVD) & authorised signatories for submitting the formfor updating Email ID.
