To ensure additional security, RBI has made it mandatory to disable online payment (E-commerce) & Contactless usage for all new Prepaid Cards issued and existing Prepaid Cards who have not used these services.
This is simply a precautionary measure to ensure a safe banking experience for you. You can easily activate online payment (E-commerce) & Contactless usage* by following the below mentioned steps.
Important Note:
Your Credit Card issuer provides a detailed statement every month at the end of your billing cycle. It includes your total outstanding balance, recent transactions, and minimum payment due. While e-statements are commonly sent via email, you can also request a physical copy if required.
Log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking using your credentials and go to the ‘Cards’ section. Here, you can view your current balance, available credit limit, billed and unbilled transactions—all updated in real time.
With the HDFC Bank MobileBanking App, you can check your Credit Card balance and transactions anytime, anywhere. Simply log in and access your card details under the ‘Credit Cards’ tab.
You can check your Credit Card balance at any HDFC Bank ATM. Insert your card, select ‘Balance Inquiry’, and enter your PIN to view your available credit and outstanding balance.
Stay updated through SMS Banking. Send “CCBAL <space> last 4 digits of your Credit Card” to 5676712 from your registered mobile number to receive your balance instantly.
You can also contact HDFC Bank’s Customer Care to know your Credit Card balance. After verifying your identity, the representative will share your outstanding and available limit details.
For personalised assistance, visit your nearest HDFC Bank branch. A representative will help you check your balance and clarify any queries after verifying your details.
It is a precautionary security measure in line with RBI guidelines. However, you can easily enable online or e-commerce usage whenever you want by logging into HDFC Bank Prepaid Card NetBanking and adjusting your card preferences.
You have the flexibility to customise daily limits for ATM withdrawals, POS, and online transactions right from the Manage My Limits section on your Prepaid Card portal.
Simply log into HDFC Bank Prepaid Card NetBanking, head over to “Manage My Profile,” then “Manage My Limits,” select your card, and turn on contactless usage according to your preference.
If you ever spot an unauthorised transaction, you must act fast. Block your prepaid card through NetBanking or give the HDFC Bank customer care helpline a call. It’s also a good idea to report the incident to the National Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930 or visit cybercrime.gov.in.
All enhanced security settings and the ability to enable or disable usage features are completely free for all HDFC Bank Prepaid Cardholders.
