HDFC Bank customers can conveniently access their Income Tax Certificate online through NetBanking or the Home Loan Portal, and ChatBanking on WhatsApp. Follow the steps below to view or download the required certificate or have it sent directly to your registered email address.

How to Check Your Home Loan Principal Outstanding Amount

  • For HDFC Bank Customers with a Customer ID
  • 1. Log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking using your Customer ID and password.
  • 2. Go to the Loans tab.
  • 3. Click ‘Loans’ to view your loan accounts displayed as cards.
  • 4. Select the ‘Home Loan’ card.
  • 5. You will be redirected to the Home Loan Portal, where you can view your Home Loan account details.

  • To View Principal Outstanding
  • 1. Select Principal Outstanding from the left-hand menu.
  • 2. The loan account number for which you are checking the Principal Outstanding amount will be displayed.
  • 3. Selectthe first option, ‘Review my balance’, from the available options given in the menu.
  • 4. Click ‘Submit.’
  • 5. The Principal Outstanding amount for the selected loan account will be displayed on the screen.

  • For Customers with Multiple Home Loans
  • 1. Log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking using your Customer ID and password.
  • 2. Go to the Loans tab.
  • 3. Click ‘Loans’ to view your loan accounts displayed as cards.
  • 4. Select the ‘Home Loan’ card.
  • 5. You will be redirected to the Home Loan Portal, where you can view your Home Loan account details.
  • 6. Select the Home Loan account for which you want to check the Principal Outstanding amount.
  • 7. Select the ‘Principal Outstanding’ option.
  • 8.Select the relevant reason for checking the outstanding balance.
  • 9. Click ‘Submit’.
  • 10. The Principal Outstanding amount for the selected Home Loan account will be displayed on the screen.

  • For Customers without a Customer ID
  • If you do not have a Customer ID, you can log in using your Loan Account Number to view your Home Loan principal outstanding amount. Fullow these steps:
  • 1. Log in to HDFC Bank NetBanking using your Loan Account Number and Date of Birth.
  • 2. An OTP will be sent to your Registered Mobile Number.
  • 3. Enter the OTP and click on ‘Submit’ to access the dashboard, where you can view the details of your Home Loan, including the principal outstanding amount.
