If you prefer to avoid the hassle of logging into your water biller's website or entering your consumer number every time, you can use HDFC Bank's PayZapp app. Here are the steps to check and pay your water bills:
Log into the PayZapp application and go to the 'Bills and Recharges' section. Click on 'View More' to see the various types of utility billers affiliated with PayZapp for instant online payments.
On the PayZapp app, you will see various icons representing different utility billers. Click on the' water droplet' icon, which represents water billers. You will now see a municipal corporation list on PayZapp in the drop-down menu.
You can scroll through the drop down menu to select the water biller specific to your city/town. Alternatively, you can type your municipal corporation's name in the search bar, and the app will pop it up, allowing you to select it without having to scroll through the extensive list of billers.
Once you have chosen your water service provider, you need to enter your billing details, such as your customer number, consumer ID, account number, etc. You can find these details on your previous water bills and enter them on PayZapp to run a quick check.
You can now see your water bill and the due amount. You can pay the bill via PayZapp in several different ways. For instance, you can link your HDFC Bank Account or Debit Card to PayZapp or load the PayZapp digital wallet to pay your water bill. If you don't have an HDFC Bank Account but hold an HDFC Bank Credit Card, you can link that to your PayZapp account and pay the water bill.
In addition to PayZapp, you can check your water bill status on your city or town's municipal corporation website.
