HDFC Bank adopts 30 Govt Schools in Varanasi under Smart School Program
HDFC Bank Parivartan’s Smart School program to improve quality of education in Govt Schools
30 Smart Schools to benefit over 13,000 students
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), April 28, 2022: HDFC Bank Parivartan today announced it has adopted 30 Government Schools in the district, under the bank’s Smart School program.
The objective of the Smart School program is to bring the modern learning experience in Govt. Schools located in rural areas. The Bank’s interventions as part of the program will be inside as well as outside the classrooms, to improve the overall learning experience in the school. This initiative will benefit over 13,000 students.
As part of the Smart School program, the bank will establish following facilities in the schools:
Smart classrooms
Library
Science Lab
Potable drinking water facilities
Toilets Renovation / Construction
To implement this initiative, the bank has partnered with Ambuja Cement Foundation.
“The objective of the Smart School program is to bring the modern learning experience in Govt. Schools located in rural areas,” said Mr Manish Tandon, Circle Head – Varanasi, HDFC Bank.
“Education is one of the key focus areas for the Bank under Parivartan. As part of this project, the idea is to create a conducive environment for students to learn, while enabling teachers to adopt efficient teaching methods.”
As part of the Smart School program, the bank plans to adopt Govt. Schools in various parts of the state.
So far, the bank has set up 23 Smart Classes and 35 Science Labs in Govt Schools in the state of UP. The Bank’s ongoing educational initiatives in the state of UP have impacted more than 77.9 lakh students in the state.
Under HDFC Bank Parivartan, the Bank has brought about a positive change in the lives of over 1.3 crore people in the state.
