Sri. C Harikiran IAS inaugurated oxygen plant at Area Hospital, Rampachodavaram, East Godavari District which was set up by HDFC Bank under Parivartan

  • Rampachodavaram, Feb 17, 2022: District Collector and Sri. C Hari Kiran IAS, today inaugurated a medical oxygen plant setup by HDFC Bank at Area Hospital, Rampachodavaram, East Godavari District which is a tribal area. The plant would strengthen the agency area healthcare infrastructure to prepare against a COVID-19 wave. The plant uses Pressure Swing Adsorption and has a capacity of generating 57.60 Cu. Mtr per hour equivalent to 960 LPM (catering to 195 beds at a flow rate of 5 LPM).
  • The Bank, through its flagship CSR programme Parivartan, has set up several such PSA plants in hospitals across the state and country. The bank installed this PSA plant to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the agency area.

  • The oxygen plant will make the hospital self-sufficient and eliminate dependence on cryogenic tankers to transport oxygen from far off places.
