Important terms and conditions

  • All Demat charges mentioned above exclude GST and other taxes or statutory charges imposed by government bodies or authorities.
  • Transaction charges are payable monthly. The stated charges apply specifically to the services listed. Charges for non-listed services will be billed separately.
  • Transaction values will adhere to the rates prescribed by NSDL or CDSL. Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) are collected upfront for one year at the start of each billing cycle by banks.
  • All services and charges may be revised at the bank's discretion and communicated to customers within 30 days.
  • Value Plans are special limited period offers designed to enhance your Demat and Trading experience for accounts opened digitally on or after 1st August 2023
  • This offer is currently available only through the 2-in-1 digital account opening journey and is not applicable for physical account opening
  • Customers must begin the digital journey using the mobile number registered with their HDFC Bank Savings Account 
  • HDFC Bank and HDFC Securities reserve the right to review and update these offers at their discretion
  • Existing customers who already hold a Demat & Trading account are not eligible for these offers
  • Value Plans remain valid only as long as the customer’s savings account continues under the eligible Managed Programme or Product Variant
  • If the account status changes, standard tariff charges will apply. The standard Demat AMC is ₹750 per annum
  • Minimum brokerage will apply regardless of the customer’s base brokerage plan: Platina – ₹10, Premia – ₹15, Maxima – ₹20, Optima – ₹25
  • Demat AMC is waived for the first year. From the second year onwards, it is charged annually in advance at the start of the billing cycle
  • For customers under Managed Programmes/Product Variants, AMC is computed based on the transaction done in the previous year
  • A Transacting Account refers to a Demat account that has had at least one credit or debit transaction in the previous financial year. This includes:
    • Buying or selling of stocks or mutual funds
    • Processing a Demat or Remat request
    • Any pledge or unpledge transactions
  • If a customer is tagged as ‘Preferred’ under ethnic code but holds an SA Product Code of Speciale Platinum, they will receive the higher tier benefit - the Platina plan
