HDFC Life Click 2 Achieve (Smart Student Plan) is an individual, non-linked, non-participating savings life insurance plan designed to help parents build a dedicated education fund for their child. The plan provides guaranteed income for 3 to 5 years, helping meet planned education expenses while offering life insurance protection. It also includes features that help ensure your child's financial goals remain on track, even in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

  • Death Benefit: In the unfortunate event of the life assured's demise during the policy term, the death benefit payable will be the highest of the following:
    • 10 times the annual premium
    • 105% of the total premiums paid
    • Surrender Value available on the date of death
  • Survival Benefit: Receive guaranteed income with the flexibility to:
    • Choose when the payouts begin (when the child turns 16 or 18 years).
    • Select a payout duration of 3, 4, or 5 years.
  • Extra Protection for Your Child: On payment of an additional premium, the plan offers enhanced protection through:
    • A lump sum payout on the diagnosis of specified serious illnesses.
    • Continuation of the policy benefits without interruption.
    • Continuation of all future policy benefits for the child.
  • Promise that Lives On: In the unfortunate event of the parent's death or covered illness:
    • Future policy benefits continue as per the policy terms.
    • No further premiums are payable.
    • The child's benefits remain intact, helping ensure their education plans are not affected.
  • Celebrate Big Wins: The plan recognises your child's major achievements by offering rewards on reaching specified milestones, including:
    • Admission to leading Indian or global universities.
    • Qualification for or winning medals at major sporting events, including the Olympics.
    • Winning a medal at the Delphic Games.

Additional Benefits

  • Outstanding Achievement Award: The child (Life Assured) receives an amount equal to two times the Annualised Premium upon achieving eligible milestones, such as securing admission to a top 100 global university, admission to a top 10 Indian university, qualifying for the Olympics, or winning a medal at a recognised international sporting event.
  • Waiver of Premium on Death: In the unfortunate event of the proposer's death, all future premiums under the policy are waived, while the policy continues with all applicable benefits intact.
  • Waiver of Premium on Critical Illness: If the proposer is diagnosed with a covered critical illness, all future premiums payable under the policy are waived, subject to the policy terms and conditions.
  • Waiver of Premium on Total and Permanent Disability (TPD): If the proposer suffers from Total and Permanent Disability, all future premiums are waived, allowing the policy benefits to continue without interruption.

The Click 2 Achieve (Smart Student Plan) is available to individuals who meet the following survival benefit criteria:

Survival Benefit Start Age: Income payouts can begin when the Life Assured attains 16 or 18 years of age.

Survival Benefit Term: You can choose a payout period of 3, 4, or 5 years.

There is no upper limit for Non-POS policies, subject to the Board Approved Underwriting Policy (BAUP). For POS policies, the maximum premium corresponds to the maximum Sum Assured

Premium Payment Term (PPT)

The plan is available under the Limited Pay option, with a Premium Payment Term ranging from 5 to 12 years

Sum Assured on Death

In the unfortunate event of the Life Assured's demise during the policy term, the nominee will receive a Sum Assured on Death equal to 10 times the Annualised Premium.
The maximum Sum Assured is:

  • Non-POS: No upper limit, subject to the Board Approved Underwriting Policy (BAUP).
  • POS: ₹25,00,000.
