Typically, to access lounges under the Priority Pass programme, you must pay a lounge access fee. However, certain Credit Card issuers, like HDFC Bank, offer complimentary lounge access under this programme. You can access international airport lounges up to a certain specific number of times. For instance, the Corporate Premium Credit Card from HDFC Bank offers six complimentary international lounge access per calendar year via the Priority Pass programme.
If you are using your Priority Pass to access lounges outside India, here is a simple guide on what to expect and how to proceed:
Lounge entry procedure
Upon entering the lounge, you must present your physical Priority Pass card benefit to the staff. They will either scan the card electronically or take a physical imprint. You will then receive a 'Record of Visit' voucher or receipt, or the staff will make a log entry. You need to sign this document or the electronic reader. This record will note the number of guests accompanying you, if any.
Charges and records
The charges for your visit, and any guests if applicable, are based on the details in the 'Record of Visit' voucher, receipt, or log. As a cardholder, you are responsible for ensuring these records accurately reflect your and your guests' usage at the time of visiting the lounge. Also, if a physical voucher or receipt is provided, make sure to keep your copy.
Exceeding the number of complimentary visits
Be aware that once you exceed six complimentary visits, a charge of US $27 + GST per visit will be applicable. Note that this charge applies to all Priority Pass accesses within India.
Guest charges
If you are bringing guests into the lounge, a fee of US $27 + GST per visit, per guest will be charged to your Credit Card.
Billing and points
These charges will appear on your Credit Card statement after the date of the lounge visit. It is important to note that these transactions do not accrue Reward Points.
Currency conversion
Any charges will be converted to your local currency based on the exchange rate on the day of billing.

As a cardholder, you are required to request a Priority Pass. Eligibility for this membership requires the completion of four billed transactions in the preceding 60 days.
