Frequently Asked Questions

Customers classified as delinquents (as per Bank policy) during the promotion or 30 days post the promotion will not be eligible for this program.

Redeem points against the Reward Catalogue (1 RP = Up to ₹0.25) or as statement cashback (1 RP = Up to ₹0.20). Redemption is based on your request and meeting minimum RP balance conditions.

A customer will be eligible only once in a quarter at any given point in time. Even if a customer achieves higher spending during the period, the customer will receive the Rs ₹500 e-voucher only once.

In case an existing MoneyBack credit card gets upgraded or downgraded during the program quarter to any other card variant, the customer will qualify for the quarterly spend benefit of the MoneyBack credit card only if the Quarterly spend target is achieved before the date of upgrade/downgrade. Spends calculation for Quarterly spending benefits on the new MoneyBack Credit Card variant will start from the date of upgrade/downgrade.

The HDFC Bank MoneyBack Credit Card is a CashBack Credit Card designed to cater to your convenience, offering rewards on every transaction. Earn 2 reward points for every ₹150 spent, 2X rewards for online transactions (equivalent to 4 RP per Rs ₹150 spent online), and the opportunity to earn up to Rs ₹2,000 in gift vouchers annually by spending ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter. Additionally, you can redeem your reward points as cashback against your card statement at the rate of 100 RP = ₹20.

As per the current program, a customer can choose (any one per quarter) from e-vouchers of Pizza Hut, Book My Show, Big Bazaar, Bata, Levis, Woodland, Mainland China, and Myntra. The list of merchants can change without prior notice at the Bank’s discretion.

A quarter is defined as a calendar quarter, e.g., Q1 = April 1, 2018 - June 30, 2018.

Reward points are systematically posted for every transaction made using this CashBack card. Track them on your statement or through HDFC Bank’s NetBanking. The 2X benefit for online spending in the current cycle is credited at the start of the next cycle.

For example:

Consider the following scenario involving Customer A, whose billing cycle ends on the 15th of each month. Let’s say he made online purchases worth Rs ₹60,00 during the Jan to Feb’20 billing period. Here's a breakdown of the earned reward points:

  • For Jan to Feb’20, he earned 80 points at a rate of 2 points for every ₹150 spent.
  • Moving to the next billing cycle, Feb to Mar’20, an additional 80 points are added to his account (thanks to a 1X supplementary points boost)

Customer A secures 160 points, demonstrating an effective reward rate of 4 points for every ₹150 spent. This showcases the positive outcome of his ₹6,000 online expenditures.

The spend milestone program is valid for retail transactions only. Cash transactions, Dial-An-EMI, Cash-on-Call, Balance Transfer, Personal Loan on Credit Card, etc., are not eligible. Transactions that are reversed or cancelled will not be considered. Returned purchases, disputed or unauthorised/fraudulent transactions, and Card Account Fees will not be considered for this offer.

The bank will communicate offer eligibility to the eligible MoneyBack customers within the next calendar quarter. The communication will be completed within 90 days from the end of the quarter. For example, eligible customers for the July-Sep quarter will begin to get their eligibility notifications by December 31st. The eligibility will be communicated to customers on their Mobile No & email ID registered with the Bank via SMS & email.

The customer must claim the voucher (i.e., respond with the selected merchant name) within 60 days from the eligibility SMS/Mailer date.

The MoneyBack 2X feature ensures you receive 100% more reward points for online spending with the MoneyBack card. Offline transactions earn 2 Reward Points (RP) per ₹150, while online/e-commerce transactions yield 4 Reward Points (RP) per ₹150.

This offer is non-cashable, not extendable, and non-negotiable.

Customers need to claim the voucher by visiting the link in the Eligibility Mailer or by sending an SMS according to the short codes in the eligibility SMS. E-vouchers will be triggered immediately to the customers on receipt of the voucher choice.

To qualify for the Spend Milestone Offer, spend ₹50,000 a quarter and receive a ₹500 e-voucher. The offer commenced on April 1, 2018.

Yes, there's a maximum limit of 15,000 reward points per cycle. The additional 2 RP per Rs ₹150 from the 2X feature is capped at 500 points monthly.

For example:

Let's say a customer spent ₹40,000 within a statement cycle. Based on their spending, they would earn reward points as follows:

  • Reward points earned during the transaction cycle = (40000 / 150) * 2, which equals 534 RP
  • Additional reward points (1X as per 2X product feature) earned in the next statement cycle = Lesser of 500 or (40000 / 150) * 2, which equals 500 RP

Therefore, the customer would earn 1034 Reward Points for this transaction (534 + 500).

Customers who have not claimed the e-voucher will be sent an eligibility Reminder on the 30th and 45th Day.

An e-voucher will be valid for 90 days from the date of issue.
