InstaServices

HDFC Bank’s InstaServices offers a quick, paperless way to update Account variant online. 

  • Start by going to the InstaServices page > Change Account Variant.

  • Click on ‘Let’s begin’.

  • Validate yourself using your registered mobile number and DOB/PAN/Customer ID.

  • Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

  • After successful verification, choose your desired Account variant to change its type.

  • On the next page, you will see a list of available Account types. Choose the new Account type that suits your needs.

  • Once you have made your selection, click on the ‘continue’ button. 

  • On the preview page, you will see your Account details, review the information.

  • Click on the ‘Confirm and Continue’ button after agreeing to all the terms and conditions.

  • Complete two-factor authentication through Debit Card/ATM Card/NetBanking and accept the terms and conditions.

  • Click on ‘Continue’ and submit to receive confirmation.

You’ll get an on-screen acknowledgement and an SMS/email update.

Important to Note:

  • Minor-to-major conversions may need additional documents. 

  • Ensure your email ID and registered mobile number are active for OTPs.

  • If you have a Joint Account, a link will be sent to the Account holders for their approval and review.

Before you initiate an account variant change, ensure you satisfy these requirements:

  • Resident Indian/NRI above 18 years of age. 

  • Holder of an active Account.

  • Debit Card/NetBanking details are handy for identity verification. 

  • PAN is updated in the bank records.

  • Download and fill out the Product Conversion Form with your new Account variant details.

  • Attach self-attested KYC documents and PAN Card copy.
