For Defence/Railway/CPAO/Central Govt/State Govt/Telecom (Any one apart from the above ID Proofs):

 

  • Retirement order/Release letter from Department

  • Pension Payment Order copy

  • Employment ID card 

For pensioners under EPFO (Any one apart from the above ID Proofs):

 

  • Letter from the company stating that customer was working with them & date of retirement

  • Copy of 10D signed by the employer

  • Copy of Letter from pension authority wherein pensioner has been directed to open pension accounts

  • PPO Copy

  • Copy of scheme certificate (EPS1995) issued by EPFO

Yes. Along with standard ID and address proof (Aadhaar, Passport, etc.), senior citizens must submit one pension-related document based on their category:

 

  • For Defence/Railway/CPAO/Central/State Govt/Telecom pensioners: Retirement order, PPO copy, or employment ID card

  • For EPFO pensioners: Letter from employer, Form 10D, PPO copy, scheme certificate (EPS 1995), or letter from pension authority

If your application is rejected, the bank will typically inform you of the reason. You may be asked to provide additional documents or correct any errors. Once resolved, you can reapply.
