You can send a cheque to India from Africa via different methods, including personal courier and post, addressed to the bank’s, or to the beneficaiary’s postal address. If your city in Africa has an HDFC Bank branch, you can visit it and deposit the cheque there in person as well. Remember to provide a letter comprising the beneficiary’s bank account number and other pertinenet details when you send the cheque.

For fund transfers to India from Africa via HDFC Bank, you can send cheques or Demand Drafts to your branch in India with a letter of instruction mentioning the account number for credit. HDFC Bank collects cheques/drafts in multiple currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR, and more.

You can approach your bank in Africa and request a foreign currency DD in USD or another other major foreign currency, which is commonly accepted in India. Ensure the DD is made payable to the beneficiary's bank account in India. Thereafter, attach a letter of instruction with the DD, stating the beneficiary's account number and other relevant details.
