For an Abroad Education Loan, the following documents are required:
A fully completed and signed application form, two passport size photos of the applicant and co-applicant, a photo ID such as a PAN card, passport, driving licence, Aadhaar card, or voter's ID card for both the applicant and co-applicant,.

To provide proof of identity and residence when applying for an Education Loan To Study Abroad, you need to submit a fully completed and signed application form along with two passport size photos of the applicant and co-applicant. One set of photos should be pasted on the application form and the second set should be affixed (stapled) to the form. For photo ID, either the applicant or co-applicant can submit any one of the following: Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, or Voter's ID Card. Similarly, for residence proof, either the applicant or co-applicant can submit any one of the following: Passport, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, or Voter's ID Card.

HDFC Bank requires the last 8 months’ bank statements of the co-applicant. If there are multiple accounts, provide all statements. Statements must show consistent monthly salary, business, or professional credits to demonstrate income stability. All copies must be self-attested before submission.
If the co-applicant is salaried, HDFC Bank requires the latest three salary slips or a salary certificate on company letterhead, the last 2 years' Form 16 or Income Tax Returns, and any other income documents not reflected elsewhere. Ensure all copies are self-attested before submission.
HDFC Bank accepts documents like title deed, registered sale agreement with society share certificate, municipal allotment letter, previous sale deed chain, property tax bills, building plan, and NOC for mortgage. All documents must relate to immovable property and be self-attested at the time of submission.
HDFC Bank requires address proof from both the applicant and the co-applicant. Acceptable documents include a Passport, a Driving Licence, an Aadhaar Card, or a Voter’s ID Card. Only one document per individual is required. Each document copy must be self-attested before submission with the loan application.
