The processing fees for the Kisan Gold Card (KGC) vary based on the type of facility. For Regular KGC, the processing fee is 2.00% of the loan amount. However, for KGC Saral, a flat fee of ₹2,500 is applicable. Additionally, foreclosure charges apply for KGC Term Loan (TL) and KGC Cash Credit (CC), which are 4% of the outstanding amount. These charges are important to consider when applying for a Kisan Gold Card, as they can impact the overall cost of borrowing and should be factored into your financial planning.
The Kisan Gold Card offers several benefits to farmers. It provides Cash Credit/Overdraft facilities to cover crop production costs, post-harvest expenses and repair and maintenance. Additionally, Term Loans are available for investments in land development, farm implements and irrigation equipment. The amount of finance is determined by factors such as the land under cultivation, cropping pattern and scale of finance. Security requirements include hypothecation of crops and assets created from bank finance, as well as collateral like agricultural or urban property. The tenure for the Kisan Gold Card is five years. Other benefits include free personal accidental insurance coverage for farmers, crop insurance under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and issuance of a RuPay Farmer Platinum Debit Card for convenient transactions.
For allied and other activities under HDFC Bank’s Kisan Gold Card, supervision charges are applied quarterly. Charges start from ₹250 for loans up to ₹3 lakh and increase up to ₹3,000 for loans above ₹50 lakh. For pisciculture loans, supervision charges are charged annually regardless of the loan amount.
When you opt for the regular HDFC Bank Kisan Gold Card, a processing fee of 2.00% of the loan amount is charged at the time of loan processing and enhancement. For the KGC Saral variant, a fixed fee of ₹2,500 is applicable during loan processing and enhancement.
Foreclosure charges on the HDFC Bank Kisan Gold Card depend on the facility type. For fixed-rate term loans, the charge is 4% of the outstanding loan amount. For KGC Cash Credit, a 4% charge also applies. These charges are collected at the time of closing the loan.
If you default on HDFC Bank Kisan Gold Card repayments, a penal charge of 2% per month is levied at the time of loan regularisation. For non-compliance with agreement terms or discrepancies in collateral, an additional 0.167% per month is charged during the loan regularisation process.
You are charged ₹550 for each cheque bounce and ₹500 for every cheque swap transaction under HDFC Bank’s Kisan Gold Card. Additionally, a request for a CIBIL report copy costs ₹50 and a repayment schedule request attracts a fee of ₹200 per instance. These are charged per transaction.
The average annual percentage rate (APR) on HDFC Bank’s Kisan Gold Card ranged from 9.00% to 19.29% between July and September 2024. The average APR during this period was 11.83%, exclusive of accounts covered under any government subvention schemes, which may carry different interest terms.
