DFC Bank introduces its 'Bank on Wheels' Van in Tohana, Haryana
'Bank on Wheels' van will offer 21 banking products and services in remote villages, located 10-50 kms from the nearest bank branch.
Tohana, Haryana, October 13, 2023: HDFC Bank has introduced a state-of-the-art 'Bank on Wheels' van in Tohana, Fatehabad district, Haryana. With this initiative HDFC Bank is taking banking to people’s doorstep in under banked semi-urban & unbanked rural geographies to provide access to banking in all districts of Haryana. Earlier bank had introduced 'Bank on Wheels' van in Charkhi Dadri.
Haryana is the eighth state after Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka & West Bengal where HDFC Bank has launched its 'Bank on Wheels' initiative.
The 'Bank on Wheels' van was flagged off by Mr. Hukam Chand – Block Development Officer, Tohana in presence of Mr. Nitin Jain – Cluster Head, HDFC Bank, Sarvjit Singh, Agri Cluster Head, HDFC Bank and other senior officials of HDFC Bank.
The van will offer 21 banking products and services, including Cash Deposit Machine and ATM services, and an exclusive range of products designed specifically for semi-urban & rural banking customers.
Commenting on the introduction of the 'Bank of Wheels' van in Haryana, Mr. Anil Bhavnani, Sr. Executive Vice President, and Head Rural Banking, RBB, HDFC Bank. said: "We are pleased to take banking to people’s doorstep with the launch of Bank on Wheels van. There is enormous opportunity to serve people living in semi urban and rural area and this initiative will improve access to banking in unbanked, under banked geographies in Tohana – Fatehabad, Haryana. The van offers number of banking services, including Cash Deposit Machine & ATM services and an exclusive range of products designed specifically for rural banking customers."
