The HDFC Bank Hajj Umrah Card charges a 3% cross-currency markup fee for transactions where the transaction currency differs from the currency available on the card.
The HDFC Bank Hajj Umrah Card charges a currency conversion tax on load, reload, and refund transactions. The tax is 0.18% of the gross value or ₹45 (whichever is higher) for amounts up to ₹1 lakh, ₹180 plus 0.09% for amounts exceeding ₹1 lakh, and ₹990 plus 0.018% for amounts exceeding ₹10 lakh (capped at ₹10,800).
The HDFC Bank Hajj Umrah Card allows a maximum load and reload limit of USD 250,000 or equivalent in any other currency per financial year, as per the Liberalised Remittance Scheme (LRS) guidelines.
