Yes, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) can invest in equities in India. They can invest in listed securities traded on recognised stock exchanges like the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) through their Non-Resident External (NRE) account under the Portfolio Investment NRI Scheme (PINS). They may also invest using their Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) account. However, NRIs are restricted from trading in currency and commodity derivatives.

NRIs can invest in equities and derivatives in India. Equities need a Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) enabled NRE or NRO account. For derivatives, they can trade through their NRO account. However, NRIs cannot participate in intraday trading and are barred from trading in currency and commodity derivatives.

Yes, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) can trade in derivatives in India. They can trade in Futures and Options (F&O) through their Non-Resident Ordinary (NRO) account on a non-repatriable basis. However, NRIs are prohibited from trading in commodity and currency derivatives. The F&O trades for NRIs are settled by the Custodian.
